Aggregates Plants strategically place in a dense cluster.
Agrarian Wild plants normally grown on fields.
Allee Originating in France, an allee is an architectural design used as a promenade and lengthening of the view of the garden.
Annuals Plants that live or grow for only one season or year.
Arbor An overhang shaded by vines and flowers.
Arcade A gardening effect where the trees form a series of arches in a walkway.
Architrave The molding around a door or window.
Art Deco Garden Landscape design using bold color patterns, and curvilinear forms.
Atrium A sky lit, central courtyard. May be indoors or out. Normally pools are center of atrium for rain collection.
Baluster In architecture, it is the support for a railing, roof, table.
Baroque Design Of Italy; an ornate design style based off paintings and sculptures of the seventeenth century.
Bastion A projection of the sunken fence in landscape, often pentagon-shaped.
Belvedere Means "beautiful view" in Latin. A type of gazebo or open gallery set in the middle of landscape for comfortable view of entire garden.
Bermuda Grass A creeping grass of southern Europe used for lawns and pastures.
Bog Garden A garden design of a stretch or area of land made of wet, spongy ground.
Bollards A series of posts on a driveway used to prevent vehicles from entering the area.
Buffalo Grass A short grass with grey-green blades, normally planted in dryer regions.
Capital A column of pilaster's embellishing head design.
Cascade A rock or step formation built for a waterfall effect.
Chaise Lounge A light piece of outdoor furniture.
Champain The effect of an open countryside.
Cloister A courtyard or covered walkway.
Clump A picturesque effect created by placing trees in clusters; creates anatural picture.
Colonnade A series of supports used to support the roofing of a structure.
